Standards Based-Report Cards

The Oakley Union School District uses the California State Standards in each of the content areas (English/Language Arts, Mathematics, History/Social Science, Science, Physical Education/Health, and Visual and Performing Arts).  Teachers use standards-based report cards that allow teachers to report out on student progress in meeting the standards.  Teachers separately report out on other student behaviors such as classroom participation, homework, and effort under the effort criteria. The report cards are issued each trimester with progress reports prior to each end of trimester report. Progress in K-3 grades is reported based on a four point rubric and provide students and parents with information on how well students are achieving academically and in the area of effort.  Progress in 4-8 grades is reported on a five point grade scale.
